In a landmark move to bolster the nation's prowess in Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Indian government has greenlit the IndiaAI Mission, earmarked with a substantial budget of Rs. 10,371.92 crore. Led by the Union Minister for Commerce & Industry and Consumer Affairs, Piyush Goyal, the announcement was made on March 7, underscoring the government's commitment to fostering innovation and technological advancement on the AI frontier.

To fuel the burgeoning AI ecosystem, the IndiaAI Mission aims to deploy a minimum of 10,000 Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) through public-private partnerships.
